The University of Illinois at Springfield is one of the three campuses of the University of Illinois. It was founded in 1969 and is located in the southeast side of Springfield, Illinois, near Lake Springfield. It serves nearly 4,900 students, including about 2,000 graduate students. The university offers masters, bachelors and one doctorate degree. The degree-granting programs are offered by the four colleges: Business and Management, Education and Human Services, Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Public Affairs and Administration.
